“Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teacher”. Thus to emphasize and inculcate the habit of reading–‘Drop Everything and Read Activity’ was conducted for Classes I to V as a part of star day activity.
Teachers too were a part of this activity by reading educational books with the students.
As it is rightly said, ‘Today a Reader and tomorrow a Leader’, this activity truly enriched the reading experience of all the students.
“A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.”
The difference between success and failure is the difference between doing exactly right and almost right. Reaffirming our commitment to the concept of providing quality education within the landscape of cultural and socio-economic diversity from which the children enter the portals of the school, St. Joseph’s Co-Ed School organized an orientation programme for the parents of Class IV and V. The parents were accorded a warm welcome at the commencement of the programme.
The session gave an insight to the parents on the academics, discipline, etiquettes and manners, as these play a pivotal role in grooming the child’s personality. In all the session was quite meaningful and a fruitful one.
Note: Only parents will be permitted to attend the program. Students should not accompany them.
Hindi Recitation Competition for Class I was held on 15 July 2017. Beauty is the realm of poetry. Children enjoyed the beauty of expression , thoughts , feelings , rhyme , rhythm and music of words . They got an opportunity to exhibit their talents and confidence.
On 15 July 2017, Class II children participated in Origami Competition. They thoroughly enjoyed the craft work which involved the use of vibrant and colourful papers and enriched their creative and artistic skills. The children participated in the activity with utmost enthusiasm.
Family Tree Making Activity was held on 15 July 2017 for Class III .The students enthusiastically participated in the activity spreading vibrant hues of feelings and emotions displaying their close knit family tree.
Best Out of Waste Activity was organized for Class IV on 15 July 2017. The students with their imagination, thoughts and exuberant creativity gave shape to ultimate designs. The activity witnessed marvellous creations.
To create awareness of keeping surroundings and environment clean a Poster Making Competition on ‘Swachh Bharat’ was organized for Class V on 15 July 2017. The students displayed their involvement by creating beautiful posters highlighting the importance of cleanliness in their surroundings. The catchy slogans emphasized the importance of the theme.
